A family of Microsoft word processing software products for creating web, email, and print documents.
Hi, Hubbard,Mi Hee
Being charged does not always activate Word automatically. This usually happens when Word is signed in with a different Microsoft account, the subscription is not active on that account, or Office has an activation problem.
Here are some suggestions you can try:
Close Word, then sign in to the Services & subscriptions page using the Microsoft account used for the purchase. Confirm that Microsoft 365 appears as Active. If it is missing, try any other email address you may have used.
Open Word and select File > Account. Sign out of every account, close Word, reopen it, and sign in using only the account that shows the active subscription.
On that same page, select Update Options > Update Now, then restart the computer.
If Word still shows Unlicensed Product, run the Microsoft 365 activation troubleshooter. It must be run on the affected Windows PC.
Also confirm the plan is Microsoft 365 Personal or Family, since Microsoft 365 Basic does not include the desktop Word application.
