Hi Anolibo Yawa,
While you’re checking the laptop’s make and model, could you also press Windows + R, type winver and share the Windows version and OS build shown there? Please let me know whether the problem started after an update, reset or any other recent change.
In the meantime, open Device Manager > Sound, video and game controllers. If the audio device is listed, right-click it and select Enable device if that option appears. You can also select Update driver > Search automatically for drivers.
If the audio device or the entire section is missing, select View > Show hidden devices, then Action > Scan for hardware changes. After that, check Settings > Windows Update for any available updates and restart the laptop once they are installed.
Let me know what appears in Device Manager, including any yellow warning icon or error code. Once you share the laptop model, I can also help you locate the correct audio driver from the manufacturer’s official support site.
