The time in my task scheduler doesn't show up so I'm unable to schedule any task.

This happened after the last updates from windows on September 8/9th. The attached images show where the time doesn't show up in the task scheduler and also in my Backup software scheduler. I've tried uninstalling the updates that were installed, but to no avail. I've also uninstalled the backup software and reinstalled in with the same result. All my drivers and apps have been updated but the problem still persists. We have one other computer that is affected by this as well. If someone can figure out the fix (soon) that would be great. TIA!

    Hello Steve P,

Thank you for providing the screenshots. Since the time field is missing not only in Task Scheduler but also in your backup application's scheduler, and you mentioned that another Windows 11 PC shows the same behavior, this may be related to a Windows display, regional, or system component issue rather than the backup software itself.

Could you please confirm the following?

    • What Windows 11 version and OS build are installed? (Go to Settings > System > About)
    • Does the problem occur in a newly created Windows user account?
    • Are you using any custom display scaling setting other than 100%?

As an initial test, please try:

    • Open Settings > Time & language > Language & region
    • Under Regional format, temporarily change it to "English (United States)
    • Sign out of Windows and sign back in.
    • Open Task Scheduler again and check whether the time field appears.

If the issue remains, please also run the following system file checks:

    • Open Command Prompt (Admin).
    • Run: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
    • After it completes, run: sfc /scannow
    • Restart the PC and test again.
