How do I replay a recording of town hall meeting at another town hall meeting?

I recorded a town hall meeting and want to replay it at a different scheduled town hall meeting. Can I do this and how?

    Dear Janet,

    You can replay the recording during a different Microsoft Teams town hall by sharing the video from a presenter’s computer. Please follow these steps:

    1. Download the original town hall recording as an .mp4 file from OneDrive or SharePoint. Make sure you have permission to reuse the recording.
    2. Open the video on the presenter’s computer and pause it at the beginning.
    3. Join the new town hall as the organizer or presenter using the Teams desktop app.
    4. In the green room, select Share.
    5. Turn on Include sound.
    6. Share the window containing the video.
    7. Start the town hall, bring the shared content on screen, and then play the recording.

    The Include sound setting is essential. Otherwise, attendees may see the video but not hear its audio. On Windows, the Teams and Windows audio output should use the same speaker device. If the presenter is on a Mac, the Teams audio driver must be installed and the machine restarted before computer sound will work, available from https:⁠//aka.ms/macaudiodriver

    Two things worth planning for: Recording starts automatically once you start the event, so the replayed video will be captured in the new recording as well. And in larger events there is a delay of roughly 15 to 60 seconds between what you share and what attendees see, so allow for that before speaking over the playback. It is worth doing a short dry run in the green room beforehand to confirm the audio comes through cleanly.
