Dear James Shaddock,

If you want to keep your Microsoft 365 Personal subscription and cancel the Microsoft 365 Business subscription, the process depends on whether you can access the administrator account for the business subscription.

When you purchase a Microsoft 365 Business subscription, Microsoft automatically creates a separate business tenant and a business administrator account. This business tenant is independent from your personal Microsoft account and has its own users, services, billing, and data.

In this case, could you also let me know where you purchased the Microsoft 365 Business subscription? For example, was it purchased directly from Microsoft, through a Microsoft partner or reseller?

If it was purchased directly from Microsoft, to manage or cancel the business subscription, you will need to sign in using the administrator account associated with that business tenant. Then go to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and navigate to Billing > Your products. From there, you can review the subscription details and, if eligible, cancel the business subscription. For reference: Cancel your subscription in the Microsoft 365 admin center

However, if you do not remember the administrator account, you may be able to find it by:

  • Checking the original Microsoft 365 Business purchase confirmation email, which typically contains details of the administrator account used during sign-up.‌
  • Reviewing any invoices or billing statements, as they may reference the account or organization associated with the subscription.

If you purchase the business subscription directly from Microsoft, canceling a subscription and refund request things need action/approval from the Microsoft Billing Team.

Therefore, if you are unable to identify the administrator account, I recommend contacting Microsoft Support for further assistance. For a full list of regional numbers, you can also visit this official page: Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support. The support team will assist you as soon as possible. For reference:  Get support | Microsoft Docs

Note: Please understand that as a forum user like you, I do not have access to your subscription details or tenant information.

If you have any questions or if I have misunderstood anything, please feel free to reach out. Looking forward to your update.
