A collaborative workspace app in Microsoft 365 designed to help teams co-create, stay organized, and work together in real time across apps and devices.
Dear Cath,
At present, Microsoft Loop does not appear to provide a template setting that automatically inserts new images as thumbnails. Images added to a page are normally displayed within the page rather than converted into clickable thumbnail previews.
You can try the following:
- Insert the image, select it, and check whether resize handles appear. If available, drag a corner inward to reduce the displayed size. This must be done for each inserted image.
- For a more consistent layout, place images inside a table and resize the table columns. You can save that page as a custom template, but newly inserted images may still need manual adjustment.
- If you mainly need a small preview that opens the original file, upload the image to OneDrive or SharePoint and add its link to the Loop page instead.
Since automatic thumbnail sizing is not currently available as a template rule, you can submit this as a feature request from Settings and more > Help & feedback > Give feedback. Since this is a user-to-user forum, feedback posted here does not normally reach the relevant product team directly.
Thank you so much for your patience!
