Can't activate Windows 10

Hello,

So I was trying to activate Excel, which wouldn't activate because Windows wasn't activated, but now I can't activate Windows for whatever reason.

Windows (Professionnal) activation error is : 0XC014C780

Problem solver only says : "Impossible to activate windows on this device" and suggest contacting support for help, which triggers the AI Assistant that never stops loading.

Any help would be appreciated.

Note : Internet is working and windows is at 22H2 update.

What happened on your PC before Windows was no longer activated?

Where did you get your Windows licence was that pre-installed on the PC or did you purchase a full retail Windows licence from Microsoft or from a 3rd party retailer?

Or is your Windows licence based on a previous Windows 7 or 8 licence?

Click your Start Button, type cmd then right click Command Prompt and choose 'Run as Administrator'

Run or paste this command and hit Enter:

slmgr.vbs /dlv

Please post a screenshot of the resulting dialog

1 - New computer, never used.

2 - Came with windows 10 pre-installed

Thank you for the screenshot, that seems to indicate you have a correct pre-installed Windows 10 Pro licence installed on that device.

Please provide a screenshot of the Windows activation settings window in the Settings app.

Note : I also tryed "phone" activation with the activation website, but always end up having this

Thank you for the screenshot, I am able to read that.

The phone activation service has been deprecated, that is no longer available.

There is no problem indicated with your licence, it just seems to be a problem with the activation servers, I presume your device is connected to the Internet.

Open Command Prompt by selecting it and choose to 'Run as Administrator'.

Paste this into Command Prompt and press Enter.

slmgr /rilc

Then close Command Prompt and click the Troubleshoot button on the activation settings window to test if that can get your Windows activated.

Hello @DaveM121 ,

Sorry for the delay, I just came back from lunch + meeting, but as soon as I reconnected the tablets onto internet, they both showed Windows as activated !

Thank you for your support, greatly appreciated.

P.S. This also corrected the Excel activation !

That is great news, I am glad your system was able to connect to the activation servers to resolve the problem.
