Designer button is grayed out in MS Powerpoint

I'm using Microsoft Office Mondo 2016

At first I was using the Designer tool fine, but shortly when I close my Powerpoint document and later open it again, the Designer button is no longer able to use in any page.

I'm sure that I am not in any layer/text edit and everything works fine except that.

    The Designer feature is not included with one-time-purchase versions of Office. You need a Microsoft 365 subscription to get it.

    Because the retail and subscription versions share an installer, sometimes PowerPoint 2016 will install incorrectly and add Designer. It's temporary, and later updates will eventually delete it.
