Microsoft for Startups verification failed – Get Program Support missing

I am enrolled in Microsoft for Startups and currently have the initial $1,000 Azure startup credits.

I completed business verification to unlock the additional startup credits, but the portal now says:

“We couldn’t verify your startup.”

No reason was provided and there is no option to resubmit verification or upload supporting documents.

Microsoft’s documentation says verification issues should be handled through Microsoft for Startups Program Support via Your Microsoft Team → Get program support, but that section is missing from my Microsoft for Startups page.

My startup is a registered business and I can provide company registration documents, proof of domain ownership and any other verification information required.

Could a Microsoft moderator please escalate this to Microsoft for Startups Program Support / Business Verification and advise how I can securely provide the necessary documents?

I can provide my Azure subscription details privately if required.

Thanks

    Hi Cushty Carbone,

If you joined recently and are currently using the updated Azure Portal experience, this is a known interface behavior where the "Your Microsoft Team" module fails to load on the initial startup overview screen.

Because Microsoft for Startups has deprecated email support (e.g., startupsupport@microsoft.com), you must utilize the back-end ticket portal to handle manual business verification reviews. You can securely upload your company registration and domain ownership documents using either of the following alternative support paths:

Option 1: Use the Legacy Startups Portal Support Path (Recommended)

    1. Navigate directly to the standalone Microsoft for Startups Portal and sign in using the tenant credentials tied to your enrollment.
    2. Click on the "?" (Help) icon located in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
    3. Select Submit a Support Ticket from the dropdown menu.
    4. Fill out the form, attach a screenshot of your portal's verification failure message, and upload your company documentation

Option 2: Azure Standard Help + Support Request Escalation

If you cannot log into the legacy standalone portal, open a ticket via the standard Azure support blade:

    1. While logged into the Azure Portal, click the "?" icon or search for Help + support.
    2. Select Create a support request.
    3. Set your Issue Type to Subscription Management or Billing (this will route you to a live support agent rather than automated self-help). [
    4. State explicitly in your ticket description: "My Microsoft for Startups verification failed, and the 'Get program support' entry point is missing from my startup homepage overview. Please escalate this directly to the Microsoft for Startups Program Support / Business Verification team."

Note: Avoid using generic Azure technical help lines for verification questions, as standard tech support cannot manually override or evaluate business entity legitimacy.
