Dear Team,

stockhistory function does not update after sept 4th. As followed from the many other threads this looks like a common issue.

I would like to understand whether the issue is going to be solved an when, because I am actively using this function and now became a big problem for me.

Regards

Erdem Yıldız

This is a widely reported problem with StockHistory not working in may locales since the 7th of September, there is currently no workaround available, the best option is to report this in Excel - Help - Feedback - Report a Problem.

This forum is just a user to user forum, no-one here can say when this will be resolved, Microsoft have indicated they are aware of the problem, but have not indicated when the problem will be resolved, we just need to wait for them to resolve the problem on their servers and StockHistory will then work again.

All well and fine but I pay for the Premium version and stock history is a primary rationale for moving to Microsoft.

I rely on heavily on historical data and Microsoft should be being proactive about letting people know that there is a problem instead of people having to complain.

I am now actively looking for another provider as I cannot be without this data.

Hi Erdem,You are not the only one seeing this. There are several recent reports of STOCKHISTORY returning data only up to September 4, 2026, with later trading dates missing. A Microsoft moderator has indicated that this appears to be a service or data-provider issue rather than a problem with the formula or Excel installation. There is currently no confirmed fix date.

For now, the best option is to report it through Excel using Help > Feedback > Report a Problem so the issue is recorded with the product team.

Thank you, Erdem, and feel free to respond back for more assistance.
