Hi,

Could you provide more details about the diagnosis?

Did you run a diagnostic using software, or is it reporting a failure on disk 1?

Search for msinfo32.exe in the search bar, take a screenshot, and post it here so we can see the correct laptop model or desktop configuration.

I ran the HP Diagnostic which comes with the computer. Like I mentioned the first run said to replace the cable and then it told me disk error on disk 1. The computer turns off and restarts for no reason

In this case, it appears to be a hardware issue, since the diagnostic test for Disk 1 failed.
