Hello. My computer updated and now it says Windows is not activated with error code 0x803fa067. I tried entering the default Pro key but it still fails. How can I fix this or contact a live support agent to activate my Windows? Thank you.

    1. Check the current activation state: Start > Settings > System > Activation. If it shows Windows is not activated, continue there.
    2. Run the Activation troubleshooter: Start > Settings > System > Troubleshoot. This option is available only when Windows 11 is not activated, and an administrator account is required. Windows activation also requires an internet connection.
    3. If the device recently had a significant hardware change such as a motherboard replacement, Windows may no longer find the matching digital license. In that case, use the guidance for reactivating Windows after a hardware change. Linking the Microsoft account to the digital license is the preparation Microsoft recommends for this scenario.
    4. If a valid product key is available, enter it from Start > Settings > System > Activation > Change product key.
    5. If the troubleshooter does not resolve error 0x803FA067, contact live support through Microsoft customer support:

A Microsoft Q&A case for this same error also suggests trying:

    • Start > Update & Security > Activation > Troubleshoot
    • Run an elevated Command Prompt and use:
        slmgr /ato

    1

What happened on your PC before Windows was no longer activated.

    2

Where did you get your Windows licence was that pre-installed on the PC or did you purchase a full retail Windows licence from Microsoft or from a 3rd party retailer?

Or is your Windows licence based on a previous Windows 7 or 8 licence?

    3

Click your Start Button, type cmd then right click Command Prompt and choose 'Run as Administrator'

Run or paste this command and hit Enter:

    slmgr.vbs /dlv

Please post a screenshot of the resulting dialog
