Hi Scott,
Goodday. Missing email doesn't always mean there is a problem with your account. The email may have been filtered, blocked, or rejected before it reached your inbox. Check first the most common causes:
- Check your Junk Email folder. Open Outlook and check Junk Email. You can also search your mailbox using the company's name or the sender's email address.
- Check your blocked senders. Go to Settings > Mail > Junk email and check Blocked senders and domains. Make sure the company's email address or domain isn't listed there.
- Check your rules. Go to Settings > Mail > Rules. Look for any rule that may be moving, deleting, or forwarding incoming emails.
- Try to send an email to that account of yours using a different email. Check if it will receive the mail or if it will bounce-back. If the delivery failed, it usually being followed by a bounce back mail.
- Ask the company to send the email again. Ask them to confirm the exact email address they are sending to. Also ask if they received a bounce-back or delivery failure message. If they did, that message can help show why the email wasn't delivered.
If the company says the email was successfully delivered but you still can't find it, the next thing to check is whether the message was filtered before it reached your mailbox. Ask the company if they are receiving a bounce-back or delivery failure mail, if possible ask them if they can share what it says or its content.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Jhun
