Also check Security > "Advanced security options" for any app passwords or OAuth app permissions you didn't create — these bypass 2FA entirely and are a common way attackers keep access after a password reset.

Recovery info: Under Security > "Update your security info," check whether an unfamiliar recovery email or phone number was added. If the attacker added one, they can still trigger password resets even now.

Mail rules and forwarding: In Outlook, check Settings > Mail > "Rules" and "Forwarding" for anything auto-forwarding or auto-deleting your incoming mail — this is often how attackers keep reading your email quietly after losing direct access, and it would also explain mail disappearing.

Connected third-party apps: Under Security > "Apps and services," revoke anything you don't recognize, since those third-party sign-ins are likely how your Discord and Epic accounts got compromised (attackers pivot through "Sign in with Microsoft" or password reuse).

On recovering deleted mail specifically: Outlook's normal Deleted Items recovery only covers a limited window, but Microsoft support can sometimes do a longer-range mailbox restore for recently deleted items if you contact them directly (not just self-service) — worth explicitly asking for that when you contact support, since it's not always offered upfront.

For Discord and Epic, don't wait on the Microsoft side — go to each service directly, use their "account recovery/compromised account" process, revoke active sessions, and change those passwords too, since a shared or reused password (or an email-based reset) is likely how those got taken along with the Microsoft account.
