Dear @Carlo Francisco,
Based on your description, it sounds like Excel is detecting a problem with the application files and is attempting to repair itself, but the repair process is not completing successfully.
Here are some suggestions you can try:
1/Repair Microsoft 365 from Windows Settings
- Close all Office applications.
- Open Control Panel > Programs and Features.
- Select Microsoft 365 (or Office).
- Choose Change.
- Run Quick Repair first.
- If the issue persists, run Online Repair.
2/ Start Excel in Safe Mode
- Press Windows + R.
- Type:
excel /safe - Press Enter.
If Excel opens successfully, the issue may be caused by an add-in. Disable add-ins from File > Options > Add-ins and test again.
3/ Check for Corrupted User Profile Settings
- Press Windows + R.
- Type:
excel /regserver - Press Enter.
- This re-registers Excel and repairs common startup issues.
If you have tried all the methods above but cannot resolve the issue, please try to completely uninstall and then reinstall Office to check whether the issue still persists or not,
