Beginning on Sept 9 could not paste what I copy in Excel. Also clicking right corner of cell did not copy formula to other cells. Need this fixed . Want to be notified when its been corrected and updates were sent out, so I can verify. In the meantime I will have to use other Office products, as those functions are critical to my daily routines.

    Hi, good day!

This is a known issue with the KB5002914 update, and Microsoft is already aware that some Excel users are experiencing problems with copy/paste and related cell operations.

Since these functions are critical to your daily work, I understand the frustration. For now, I recommend keeping Office updated and checking for the next Office update, which should be installed once Microsoft releases the fix.

Unfortunately, Microsoft Q&A cannot send individual notifications when the fix becomes available. However, you can monitor Microsoft's Office update information and then verify that copy/paste and formula-fill are working normally after the corrected update is installed.

    Hello

You can roll back to the last stable version to get these features back.

Please type cmd in the search on the taskbar. Don't press enter key yet. Instead, choose "run as administrator" to launch Command Prompt.

Then run this command. Make sure you copy the entire command, including the quotation mark at the beginning of the command.

    For 2024 commercial/LTSC/Pro Plus/Standard:

    "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ClickToRun\OfficeC2RClient.exe" /update user updatetoversion=16.0.17932.20910

If you use 2024 retail, use this code:

    "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ClickToRun\OfficeC2RClient.exe" /update user updatetoversion=16.0.20326.20132

The command is to remove the latest update, which is causing this issue.
