A family of Microsoft word processing software products for creating web, email, and print documents.
Hi @Gerald Ross,
Since the envelope appears correctly on screen but prints in the wrong position, this may be related to the envelope feed settings, printer driver settings, or a recent change in the printer configuration.
To help narrow this down, could you please confirm:
- Does the issue occur with all envelopes/documents, or only with one specific document?
- Does the same problem occur if you create a new envelope in a blank Word document?
- What is the printer model you are using? Have the printer or printer driver been updated or changed recently?
- Does the issue occur when printing to a different printer or when printing to PDF?
In the meantime, please go to Mailings > Envelopes > Options > Printing Options and verify that the envelope feed method and orientation are configured correctly. Also make sure the envelope is loaded exactly as shown in the diagram. In addition, confirm that the envelope size, paper source, and orientation in Word match the settings configured in your printer properties.
You may also find Microsoft's guide helpful: Create and print a single envelope in Word.
Additionally, if possible, I'd recommend updating or reinstalling the latest printer driver from the printer manufacturer's website and testing again. Since the issue started recently after working correctly for years, a printer driver change is one possible cause.
For Office, please also ensure you're running the latest version of Microsoft 365 and consider performing an Office repair to see whether that makes any difference.
Please try the above suggestions and leave a comment with the results. I'll keep an eye on this thread and will be happy to help investigate further based on what you find.
Thank you so much for taking the time.
