Why has my daily bill gone from 0.15 cents to 832 euros on one day

On 11th September my predicted bill was 832.00 euros. Every other day over the last 6 years it has been 0.15 ish

Go to Cost Management + Billing → Cost analysis.

Set the date range to 11 September 2026 and select the Daily costs view.

Check the actual cost and compare it with the previous days.

Group the cost by Service name and then by Resource to identify the resource responsible for the increase.

If available for your billing account, review Invoice details to determine whether the amount represents an actual billable charge or only a forecast/estimate.

Also check whether any resources were newly created, scaled up, or experienced an unusual increase in usage around 11 September.

If the €832 amount is confirmed as an actual charge and you cannot reconcile it with your resource usage, I recommend opening an Azure Billing support request so the billing team can investigate the applicable meters and usage records.

If you suspect that the increase may be related to unauthorized usage or a compromised resource, it would also be important to review the affected resource's activity and access logs and follow your organization's security incident process.
