Microsoft 365 - Outlook on macOS 26.6.2 does not allow for the managing of contacts.

The "Manage Contacts" on the tool bar does not allow for either import nor export, which is an indication it does not work, but what I wish to do is delete a contact that has the wrong email address, but there is no option for that. I saw a suggestion to go into Add to Contacts, but that does not work either, so what now?

In fact Outlook has been so restricted I have had to start using Thunderbird to manage my contacts and send mail but I like the use of Outlook and of course have paid for it, but it does not meet my basic need of properly allowing the management of contacts, nor groups of contacts.

And of course this method of posting a question without directly working with someone who is in support, is not of much value either. I can see why people in Europe are switching to Euro-Office.

    Hi Gerald Lee,

    If your goal is simply to remove a contact with an incorrect email address, could you clarify where the contact is being viewed?

    In New Outlook for Mac, contact deletion is typically performed from the People view rather than from the Manage Contacts menu. Please try the following:

    1. Open People in Outlook.
    2. Search for and select the contact you want to remove.
    3. Choose Delete from the toolbar or right-click the contact and select Delete.

    If you do not see a Delete option, please let us know:

    • Is this a personal contact that you created yourself?
    • Or is it coming from a company directory, shared mailbox, or another shared contact source?

    Contacts that originate from a directory or other read-only source cannot be deleted by individual users.

    A screenshot of the contact details page would also be helpful in determining why the deletion option is unavailable.
