    If you haven't tried it yet, first, go to OneDrive on the web: https://onedrive.live.com

    Find the same document and try opening it there. You can also download the file to the PC and then try opening the downloaded copy in Word.

    If the issue still persists, to help narrow down the issue:

    1. Does this happen with all Word documents stored in OneDrive, or only this file?
    2. Can you open the document successfully from OneDrive on the web?
    3. Is the OneDrive app on the PC signed in and syncing normally, or does it show any error?
