For Excel, Ctrl+V should paste normally, and Ctrl+D is a standard Excel shortcut. Since normal paste is failing but Paste Special options like Values or Formulas still work, the most direct fix supported here is to remove the Office update that is causing the issue.
- Open Settings in Windows.
- Go to Windows Update > Update history > Uninstall updates.
- Look for the recent Office-related update. A reported cause is KB5002914.
- Uninstall that update.
- Restart the PC.
- Test again in Excel with:
