An Azure real-time data ingestion service.
To add a valid alert to an eventstream in Microsoft Fabric Real-Time Intelligence, use this flow:
- Open the eventstream.
- If the eventstream is in Edit mode, select Publish on the ribbon.
- Confirm the eventstream is in Live mode.
- Select Set alert on the ribbon.
- In the Add rule pane:
- Enter a Rule name.
- In Condition, choose one of these options:
- on each event
- On each event when
- On each event grouped by
- In Action, select the action to perform when the condition is met. Supported actions include Microsoft Teams messages, email, webhooks, or Power Automate.
- In Save location:
- Select the Workspace.
- For Item, either select an existing Activator item or Create a new item.
- If creating a new item, enter the New item name.
- Select Create.
- In the Alert created pane, select Done or Open to open the Activator item.
A valid alert creates an Activator destination automatically in the eventstream.
If the UI looks different in the current Fabric trial version, the current documented path is still: Publish → confirm Live mode → Set alert → configure Add rule → Create.
After the alert is created, rules can be managed from the eventstream:
- Select the alert icon on the Activator destination.
- In the Rules pane, view rules, stop or start a rule, edit, delete, open it in Activator, or add more rules.
Example from the tutorial:
- Rule name:
