My Acer Windows laptops audio stopped working one day, the audio doesnt work from the speakers and from headphones. Ive already tried troubleshooting, checking the device manager, and managing the speaker properties.

Check the Control Panel>Sound>Playback and see what you have for speakers and headphones. Are they selected and made your default?

Yes, they're both default.

Hi,

Go to Device Manager, find the "Sound, video and game controllers" section, take a screenshot, and post it here.

If possible, go to Start Menu > Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters > Audio > Run.

Do you have the correct drive.

Do you have the Realtek Console app installed?

Go to the Start menu > Settings > System > Sound > scroll down > More sound settings; take a screenshot and post it here.

Hi,

Try this: select the speaker > Realtek > Properties > Levels > check if the sound is muted.

Hi,

Try using the generic audio driver.

In the search box on the taskbar, type device manager, then select it from the results.

Select the arrow next to Sound, video and game controllers to expand it.

Select and hold (or right-click) the listing for your sound card or audio device, then select Update driver > Browse my computer for drivers > Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.

Select the audio device whose driver you want to update, select Next, and then follow the instructions to install it.

After installing the drivers, restart the PC and run the test.

I updated the driver and restarted my computer, but my audio unfortunately hasn't been restored

Could you plug headphones into the laptop's jack, test the sound, and see if any audio comes through?

I recommend using DDU.

Note: DDU is a third-party application for completely uninstalling and reinstalling the sound driver.

After downloading, extract DDU to a folder.
Run the Display Driver Uninstaller.exe application, select the "Device Type" tab, and choose "Sound." Then, select "Realtek" as the device.
Click the first option, "Clean and Restart," and wait for the process to complete.
After running DDU and installing the driver:

Sorry for the late reply, I completed the steps, performing the clean boot. The audio still doesn't work, I'm going to try switching audio drivers or maybe take the computer to a shop incase of external damage to the speakers. Thank you for your time and assistance.
