I have been using cut/paste dialog on private website (UWorld.com). The clipboard is currently stuck on a single word that I can't delete. How do I clear the clipboard?
Troubleshooting website display or functionality issues in Edge on Windows 11
Hi Brooks Goodgame,
Have you had a chance to try the steps in the AI Answer? If so, please let me know what happened after you cleared the clipboard.
If the word is still stuck, open Notepad and press Ctrl+V. If the same word appears there, it is still being retained by the Windows clipboard. If it appears only on UWorld, close all UWorld tabs and Microsoft Edge windows, then reopen the website in a new InPrivate window. This will help determine whether the issue is with the Windows clipboard or the website session.
I hope this helps narrow down the cause.

If the stuck item is in the Windows clipboard, clear it from Windows rather than Edge:

Important: clearing clipboard history removes everything except pinned items. Clipboard history is also cleared when the PC restarts, except pinned items.
If the issue is only happening on a website in Edge or Office for the web, the browser may be blocking clipboard access. In Edge, select the lock icon / View site information in the address bar, find Clipboard under site permissions, and set it to Allow.
