An integrated threat protection solution designed to detect, investigate, and respond to cyber threats across Microsoft 365 services.
If the Outlook.com account was disabled or locked, use the Microsoft sign-in and recovery flow first:
- Go to https://account.microsoft.com and try to sign in.
- If prompted, request a security code to unlock the account.
- Any phone number can be used to receive the code.
- The number does not need to already be on the account.
- The phone only needs to receive text messages.
- If Microsoft requires a password change, create a new strong password.
- If the account is temporarily blocked because of unusual sign-in activity, use the Sign-in Helper.
- If entering the security code or changing the password does not unblock the account, continue with the Microsoft account sign-in help flow: When you can't sign in to your Microsoft account.
Important cases:
- If the message says the account does not exist, use the Microsoft account sign-in helper.
- If the account has not been signed in to for more than two years, it may have been deleted and cannot be reopened.
- If the sign-in page does not show a Next option and says the account is locked due to suspicious activity or a Terms of Use issue, use the aka.ms/ reinstatement link shown in that window and submit the form. After submission, a Microsoft Online Safety support agent reviews the request and responds by email. Do not submit multiple requests, because that can slow the response.
