Surface pro 11 warranty and repair

I sent my nearly new surface pro 11 for a repair last month and my status on the order has been unchanged since delivery on 08/15. I have no idea where the device is or the actual status of the repair and I have been unable to speak to anyone. Does anyone have experience with an in-warranty repair? Will they update me on my options? I am now curious if i could get a credit to buy a laptop instead of the surface pro, does anyone know if they offer this kind of option?

AI has its benefits and I am not against it for everything but going 100% online is very frustrating as the AI seems to be stuck to common problems with no ability to think outside the box. We need human input.

    Hello Patrick Adamson

Thank you for reaching out, and I’m sorry to hear about the difficulty you are experiencing with your Surface warranty situation.

Unfortunately, as community moderators, we do not have access to Surface warranty records, warranty status information, repair systems, or any tools that would allow us to review, modify, extend, or grant additional warranty coverage for a device. We are also unable to submit warranty requests on behalf of customers.

For assistance with warranty status, repair options, or any requests related to warranty exceptions, we recommend contacting the Surface Support team directly through Microsoft Surface Live Chat. They are the appropriate team with access to the necessary tools and account information required to review your situation.

You can contact Surface Support here:

    • Go to Contact Us - Microsoft Support
    • Select Surface
    • Click Get Home Support
    • Type a brief description of your issue in the search box.
    • Click Get Help and select Contact Support below.
    • Go to the Products and services tab and choose the appropriate product.
    • On the Category tab, choose the appropriate category or an alternative option.
    • Go to Confirm. Look for and select "Chat with a support agent in your web browser" (during business hours) if available. Explain your situation clearly.

You can also visit a authorized providers for in-person support

My apologize that I cannot provide direct assistance with warranty information, but the Surface Support team will be best positioned to check on the status of your device.

The AI answer given would work if i could actually get a person to call me back. The call back option is another AI caller that ends with the only option to check online.
