Microsoft screw up - very annoyed

As a licensed Amateur Radio Operator I was happily programming my hand held and mobile radios using windows 11 until the updates came along. Updates have succeeded in blocking my radio updates, choosing not to now recognise the radio programming cables, that were fine before.

I have a Microsoft account and Windows 11 so that I can programme radios. This unwarranted intrusion by Microsoft to now limit what I can use windows for is outrageous and dictatorial. I have had to resort to using an old computer with an earlier version of Windows to do the things I want to do.

Is this progress, is the better service to customers. No, I think not!

I doubt I will be able to help but what may help others offer a solution is to detail the current version and build of Windows 11. Type winver in Search and quote the version and build in full.

Do you know which update/s (by KB#) had the undesired affect.

Updates are a fact of life now with windows and using amateur radio is pretty specific. Do any of the programs you use have updates or support for Windows 11.?
