Cursor skips back

When trying to copy data in excel in a string of cells the cursor skips back to the begining.

For example

Cel A1 = 1

Cel A2 = 2

When trying to pull this down I can see it counting, but at the moment I let go of the mouse the cursor skips back to A1

The combination of Ctrl C - Ctrl V doesn't work at this moment

I wonder how I can correct thid

    Does the problem occur in other Microsoft apps, such as Word or PowerPoint?

    Does the problem occur in another program or during normal Windows use?

    Does the problem occur only in a specific spreadsheet or in all spreadsheets?
