AOL email on Edge browser no longer showing pictures after latest security update. Tried removing update but seemed to reinstall, in spite of having checked "Do not install updates automatically."

If you mean pictures inside emails you receive in AOL Mail, first check whether the same messages show their pictures when you open AOL Mail in another browser.
If they work there but not in Edge, please share your Edge version from Settings > About Microsoft Edge. If they are missing in every browser, I would check AOL Mail's image-display settings first. I wouldn't remove the security update again at this point.
I have only Edge on Windows 11 machine, but on old Windows 10 desktop with same problem AOL mail works in Chrome Browser.
Both had same problem 1 or 2 months ago. Problem resolved on Windows 11 but then recurred after update 9/8/26
On Windows 11 computer- Microsoft Edge is up to date.
