My windows 11 on Dell Laptop model Inspiron 15 5510 has been showing in Device Manager : Systems "Activation" as have become in-activate. trouble shooting has found that there is a key for the laptop. it is telling me to install office windows 11 home to it activated.

Laptop has been working fine quite a few years now and only recently started getting msg about this windows becoming in-activate, so diagnosed the problem yesterday and found this seems to be the cause.

All software is now uptodate from DeLL site as of yesterday, the speaker/audio no sound that started couple of days ago has also been fixed now with Dell realtek driver re-installed - which led me to doing a deep dive yesterday.

All my Dell and Bitdefender scans have been run and come out clean plus dell scan showing couple of software updates required have been applied with no issue BUT the key remains "in-active" state thus want help to fix it,

The laptop seems to working fine in all functional perspective, for me apart from this annoying key state issue.

Windows has either Home, Pro or perhaps Single Language editions. Office is another product.

Was Windows 11 supplied by Dell on the laptop?

If you run the Activation Troubleshooter what is the result.

Dell supply their licence embedded in the bios. If you open a Command prompt (Admin) and enter :

wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey [press return] it should display the 25 character product key . What result does that command give.
