Windows 11 security update fails. Memory Integrity will not turn on due to core isolation issue caused by wdcsam64_prewin8.sys driver. I went through all the suggested steps to correct the issue, restarted system and retried Windows Update. It hangs at 0% download, eventually times out. Help! I am losing my mind. Trying to chat with an agent times out....HELP!

Hii,
Do you have some Western Digital storage software or SanDisk installed if yes uninstall.
If you still get the error about this incompatible driver, download autorun from the link below, extract the x64 version and run it as administrator.
https://learn.microsoft.com/pt-br/sysinternals/downloads/autoruns
Go to the drivers tab and find the wdcsam64_prewin8.sy driver, right-click and delete it.
After removing it, do this: open the command prompt (admin) and run the commands: sfc /scannow and dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth, wait for the process to finish and restart the computer.
Restart the PC After activating it, restart again.

wdcsam64_prewin8.sys is an incompatible driver, and Memory integrity will stay off until that driver is updated or removed.
Try this end-to-end path:
wdcsam64_prewin8.sys. dism /online /get-drivers /format:table
oem13.inf. pnputil /delete-driver oem13.inf /uninstall /force
Applications and Service Logs\Microsoft\Windows\CodeIntegrity\Operational reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceGuard\Scenarios\HypervisorEnforcedCodeIntegrity" /v "Enabled" /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
About Windows Update hanging at 0% download: the provided material only supports the Memory integrity and incompatible-driver side of the problem. The supported fix here is to remove or update the incompatible driver first, restart, then retry enabling Memory integrity and retry Windows Update.
