My downloads are appearing in Chinese. I can't read it obviously. It's for an assignment. Please help!

Try these checks in Windows 11 and Microsoft Edge:

    1. In Windows, go to Settings > Time & language > Language & region.
      • Make sure Country or region matches the intended location.
      • Make sure the regional format and language are set to the preferred language.
    2. In Microsoft Edge, open Settings > Language.
      • Make sure English is the primary language.
      • If Chinese is listed higher, move English above it.
    3. If pages or download-related text still appear in Chinese, check the system locale:
      • Press Windows + R
      • Type intl.cpl and press Enter
      • Open the Administrative tab
      • Select Change system locale
      • Make sure it is set to the correct language
    4. Sign out of Windows, restart the PC, and sign back in to refresh language-related services.

If the issue is caused by a metered connection preventing language features from downloading, connect to a non-metered network and then return to Settings > Time & language > Language & region to complete any missing language feature downloads.

    Hi!

Does the problem occur on any website?

Does the problem occur in only one browser?

Did the problem start after installing a program or opening an unknown file?

Thanks! Could you send me a photo of the filenames that are in Chinese so I can verify?

Does the problem occur in another browser on the same site?
