If the messages appear in search but not in the Inbox view, the most likely cause in this scenario is Focused Inbox or an Inbox view/filter issue.

    Try these checks:

    1. Check Focused and Other In Outlook, look for the Focused and Other tabs. Messages that seem missing from Inbox can be placed in Other.
    2. Turn off Focused Inbox to test In new Outlook, go to Settings > Mail > Layout > Focused Inbox and turn it off. This puts all messages into a single Inbox view.
    3. Check Inbox filters Make sure the Inbox is not filtered to something like unread, flagged, or another limited view. In Outlook on the web, confirm the Inbox is set to show All items.
    4. If this is a search-only issue for recent mail Outlook search issues after certain Windows updates were resolved by later Windows updates. If recent emails are missing only from search results, rebuilding the search index is the documented step:
      • In Outlook, go to File > Options > Search
      • Select Indexing Options > Advanced
      • Under Troubleshooting, select Rebuild

If the mail is visible in search and web mail but not in the Inbox list, that points more to Focused Inbox or Inbox view behavior than mail delivery.
