The EXCEL function: STOCKHISTORY is only returning data up to Sep 4, 2026

I’m an active Microsoft 365 subscriber and I’m reaching out regarding a reproducible issue with the Excel STOCKHISTORY function.

The function is consistently returning market data only up to September 4, 2026, regardless of the ticker or date range specified. This behavior occurs across multiple workbooks and devices, and appears to be a service-side cutoff rather than a local Excel issue.

Could you please confirm:

Whether this is a known service problem affecting STOCKHISTORY

Whether the Excel team has already identified the root cause

And if possible, provide an estimated resolution timeline

I rely on STOCKHISTORY for ongoing financial analysis, so any guidance or updates you can share would be greatly appreciated.

Yes. It is a known issue. Many users have reported the same issue in the past two days and there is no official announcement regarding the fix. In the meantime, please report it via Help > Feedback.
