Adjusting alert preferences for messages, mentions, and activity within Microsoft Teams
Good day Crystal,
The Save button stays unavailable because the rule still requires a valid Notification Team and Notification Channel before the configuration can be saved.
I recommend trying again in an InPrivate or Incognito browser session and following these steps:
Sign in to the Microsoft Teams admin center.
Go to Notifications & alerts > Rules > Open External domains anomalies.
Keep Channel alert selected for now.
Select a valid Notification Team.
Select an existing Notification Channel within that team.
Change the rule Status to Inactive.
Click Save.
After the rule is saved as Inactive, new External Domains Anomalies notifications should stop posting to the channel.
If the original channel no longer exists, create or select a temporary channel, assign the rule to that channel, set the rule to Inactive and then save the changes.
If the Save button is still unavailable after completing these steps, please contact Microsoft Support by selecting Need Help? in Teams admin center > Entering "support" to bypass the automated suggestions > Choosing Contact Support. Please include a description of the issue and a relevant screenshot to help with further investigation.
Note: If you don't see the support option or don't have sufficient administrative permissions, please contact your Global Administrator for assistance.
A technical support engineer can perform a remote session to investigate the situation, verify the backend configurations, and run any necessary synchronization tools to resolve the problem. If the issue requires further attention, they can escalate it to a specialized team for deeper analysis.
I hope this information is helpful. If you have any questions or need further support, please don’t hesitate to reach out at any time.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
