Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

Note that gettext_x64r.dll is not a Windows system file, but a library used by specific third-party applications and games (often related to language localization).

To be able to assist you better, please clarify the following:

    • Does the error appear immediately upon starting Windows, or only when you try to open a specific application/game?
    • If it's when you try to open a specific application/game, which one displays this error message when run?
    • Do you use any third-party antivirus software (such as Avast, Kaspersky, or McAfee) in addition to Windows Defender? If yes, which one?
    • When checking the Protection History in Windows Defender (or your antivirus software), is there any record of a quarantined or blocked file from the same date as the update?

    Looking forward to your reply.
