If the Copilot app was removed by the latest update, reinstall it from the Microsoft Store.

    For Windows 11:

    1. Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
    2. Search for Copilot to confirm whether the app is still installed.
    3. If it is missing or not working correctly, reinstall it from the Microsoft Store.

    For Windows 10:

    1. Open Settings > Apps.
    2. Search for Copilot.
    3. If it is missing or not working correctly, reinstall it from the Microsoft Store.

If the app is present but stopped working after the update, a reset or reinstall can help. One reported workaround is:

    1. Open Start and search for Copilot.
    2. Right-click Copilot and select App settings.
    3. In Reset, select Reset.
    4. If that does not help, uninstall the app and reinstall it from the Microsoft Store.

If the issue is that a previous Copilot conversation was wiped out, first confirm that the same Microsoft account is signed in. Copilot conversation history is account-based. In Copilot, check the conversation history/sidebar and look for older chats there. One reported answer states Copilot retains the last 18 months of interactions in conversation history. If the conversation was deleted or activity history was cleared, it may no longer be recoverable.
