stockhistory function not pulling data later than 9/4/2026

Stockhistory function doesn't pull data later than 9/4/2026. If I use the function with start date of 1/1/2026 and end date of 9/9/2026, the function displays data from 1/2/2026 through 9/4/2026. The last date that appears with data is 9/4/2026. It does not include data for 9/8/2026 and 9/9/2026 which were active trading days. Is there an issue with the stockhistory function at this time?

    Hi,

STOCKHISTORY has been down for many locales since 7th September:

You may want to send feedback to Microsoft using Help > Report a problem - this can only be solved by Microsoft or the data provider, LESG, I am afraid.

I hope this information helps. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to reach out. Wishing you good luck!

Yes. The behavior described matches a known service-side issue pattern that has affected Excel Stocks and STOCKHISTORY before, where recent dates stop returning and users see incomplete or stale data.

Supported facts relevant to this case:

    1. STOCKHISTORY generally updates only after a trading day completes, so it cannot return the current day’s trading details before market close.
    2. Historical and price data for Stocks and STOCKHISTORY come from an online data source, so service-side problems can affect refresh results.
    3. Community reports for similar outages indicate there may be periods where the function is broken for many users, and the practical action is to report it from Excel.

For the specific dates listed, 9/8/2026 and 9/9/2026 are after 9/4/2026, so if those were completed trading days and still do not appear, that points to a data/service issue rather than normal STOCKHISTORY timing behavior.

    Recommended next step:

    • In Excel, go to Help > Send Feedback and report the issue to the Office developers.

    Also note:

    • Stock information is delayed and provided “as-is.”
    • STOCKHISTORY and Stocks data depend on the connected online provider.
