Using New Outlook on Windows for professional communication and productivity
Hi Elana,
Thank you for reaching out regarding the recent emails that are not appearing in New Outlook.
Based on your descriptions, here are some steps you can try:
- Open the affected folder, such as Inbox, and clear any text from the Search box.
- Select Filter at the top of the message list and make sure:
- No filter such as Unread, Flagged, or Has files is selected.
-
- The messages are sorted by Date with Newest on top. New Outlook allows messages to be filtered and sorted from the Filter menu.
-
- If Focused Inbox is enabled, check both the Focused and Other tabs.
-
- Check other folders, including Archive, Deleted Items, Junk Email, and any custom folders or rules that may have moved the messages.
- Sign in to https://outlook.office.com using the same account and check whether the recent emails appear there.
- If they appear on the web but not in New Outlook, the issue is likely related to the application’s display or synchronization.
- If they are also missing on the web, review the mailbox folders and rules, or contact your organization’s IT administrator for further assistance.
If the issue persists, please let me know:
- Whether you can see the missing emails in Outlook on the web?
- Whether the issue affects the Inbox only or other folders as well?
- If possible, please also share a screenshot of the message list with any personal information hidden.
I hope this information is helpful. Should you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to share them in the comment below. I'm very happy to help.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this.
