I want to subscribe for monthly Microsoft 365 plan, and it kept showing me a site that i am not old enough to make this purchase. I am not a minor and have my year of birth updated.

    Dear Marianna,

As a forum moderator, I am not able to access your account or delve into the backend systems to diagnose and fix this for you. My role here is limited to general guidance you can apply from your side.

The likely cause is that this is not about your birth date at all. Microsoft has introduced age assurance, and if the verification step has not been completed, the account is treated as unverified even when the year of birth is correct. That unverified status is what blocks the purchase. Being part of a Microsoft Family group as a child member can produce the same result. To point you in the right direction, could you confirm a few things?

    1. Which country or region is set on the account?
    2. Is this a personal Microsoft account or a work or school account?
    3. What is the exact wording of the message you see?
    4. Is the account part of a Microsoft Family group?

The region matters most here, because proactive age verification is currently only offered in Australia, Brazil, Singapore and the United Kingdom. Elsewhere, the option appears only when you are prompted during sign in. You can check your current age assurance status on your Microsoft account.

I hope this helps. Looking forward to your reply.
