I changed my personal Microsoft account’s primary email alias to my AT&T email address. My Microsoft account page and Teams on the web now display the correct address, but the Teams desktop app still displays my old Outlook.com alias.

The desktop sign-in account picker shows the correct AT&T address. After signing in, however, the profile menu under “Personal” displays the old Outlook.com address.

I have tried:

Signing out of Teams and signing back in.

Choosing “Create or use another account” and manually entering my AT&T address.

Resetting Teams through Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps → Microsoft Teams → Advanced options → Reset.

None of these steps changed the email displayed in the desktop profile.

Teams desktop version: 26213.1006.5014.9784 Account type: Personal Microsoft account with Microsoft 365 Family Operating system: Windows

How can I make Teams desktop display my current primary email alias without deleting the old Outlook.com alias from my Microsoft account?

    Hello

I changed alias not too long ago as well, and it took days for Teams to finally reflect the new primary alias.

Otherwise, try clear Teams cache using this instructions https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/microsoftteams/teams-administration/clear-teams-cache

If Teams is still running, right-click the Teams icon on the taskbar, and then select Quit.

Open the Run dialog box by pressing the Windows logo key +R.

    1. In the Run dialog box, enter the following path, and then select OK.
         %userprofile%\appdata\local\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeams

Delete all files and folders in the directory.
    2. Restart Teams.

    See if that helps afterwards.

Well, everything has updated correctly. I guess it was more time needed to run through the system, it was a waiting game and I was impatient.

    Thank you.
