Powerpoint 365 slide 1 of NN, the last 2 digits are not shown

If the deck has more than double digit slides, then the last number NN in the bottom left counter showing "Side 1 of NN" is not showing the NN number completely.

Based on your description, I tested this behavior in my PowerPoint 365 environment using presentations with both double-digit and triple-digit slide counts, and the slide counter displayed correctly (for example, "Slide 1 of 20" and "Slide 1 of 100" appeared in full without any truncation).

To help provide the most accurate and effective solution, could you share a bit more detail about your setup?

Does this issue occur in Slide Show mode, Presenter View, or both?
What version of PowerPoint are you using? (File > Account > About PowerPoint)
Does the issue occur with all presentations, or only a specific deck?
How many slides are in the presentation where you see the problem?
Are you using a single monitor or multiple monitors?
What is your Windows display scaling setting (for example, 100%, 125%, 150%, or 200%)?
Could you provide a screenshot showing the truncated "Slide X of Y" counter?

Also, is this the same issue described in the following thread, where the slide counter appears partially cut off in Presenter View: PowerPoint "View - Presenter View" shows "truncated" "<Slide x of y>" (only upper part of "Slide 1 of 10" for instance is shown) ?

This additional information will help better understand your environment and determine whether this is related to display scaling, Presenter View rendering, multi-monitor configuration, or a specific PowerPoint build.

In the meantime, you may want to try the following:

Test with a new blank presentation containing 20-30 slides to see whether the issue can be reproduced.
Change Windows display scaling temporarily to 100% and test again.
If using multiple monitors, test the presentation on a different monitor or disconnect the secondary display.
Update Office to the latest available build and check whether the behavior persists.
Try running the slide show with Presenter View disabled to see whether the issue is limited to Presenter View.

Since this occurred in an Amazon WorkSpaces remote session rather than a standard local Windows environment, the behavior may be influenced by factors specific to the remote desktop infrastructure, display rendering, or the configuration managed by your organization's IT team.

As this environment is outside what I can directly test or reproduce, I recommend contacting Microsoft Technical Support and/or your company's IT administrator for further investigation if the issue reoccurs. They may be able to collect additional logs and determine whether the behavior is related to PowerPoint, Amazon WorkSpaces, or the remote session configuration.

Does this issue occur in Slide Show mode, Presenter View, or both? This issue is seen in Editor mode, when we are building the slide decks. I'm using Powerpoint 365 on Amazon Workspace remote session installed by my company.

Are you using a single monitor or multiple monitors? single monitor
What is your Windows display scaling setting (for example, 100%, 125%, 150%, or 200%)? 105% scale factor set.
Could you provide a screenshot showing the truncated "Slide X of Y" counter? Once I disabled the slide count to be shown in Editor mode and re-enabled it then it's working fine for one time only. When we re-open the PPTX file, then the issue resumes to manifest.
