Can no longer access Edge on Macbook

I have macOS Monterey 12.7.6 and a few weeks ago the version of edge I had was no longer accessible and stated "You can’t use this version of the application “Microsoft Edge” with this version of macOS. The application requires macOS 13.0 or later." Though, edge states on the software download page "Microsoft Edge for Mac is available for macOS 12.0 or later". I can't fix/re-install edge no matter what I try--and now, I can no longer access my student account/setup I had with edge.

Hello,

This is due to a recent change in Microsoft Edge's macOS requirements, rather than a problem with your Edge installation.

Microsoft has confirmed that Edge version 150 is the last version that supports macOS 12 Monterey. Starting with Edge version 151, macOS 13 Ventura or later is required.

If your Mac supports macOS Ventura or later, the best solution is to upgrade macOS.

Otherwise, uninstall your Edge, go here and download the correct version, and install it.

Click on the macOS button. Scroll down. For channel/version, select Stable 150, then for build, the latest should be fine. For platform, select what your macOS reflects. If you don't know if yours is AMR, 64bit or 32bit, you can click on the Apple menu > About this Mac to find out. If it is M1, M2 chip for example, it should be ARM64, if it is Intel processor, it should be 64 bit. 32 is very rare these days.
