Why did Microsoft make Windows 11 so bad?

I have absolutely no clue why Windows 11 was made to be so bad.

Everytime I login to something like Chrome, it forgets my account every day. It's not Google's fault, as it says that some issue was reported by Microsoft, like when they deleted all of my files during an update, including most of my accounts on Chrome, Xbox, etc.

It also manages to show me ads in the following places-

  • The File Explorer
  • The task manager
  • The trash bin for some reason?

And the apps that I'd already payed for, like Amazon Prime and YouTube, even though I have YT PREMIUM for goodness' sake!

So, it can track my location without my consent, it can steal my browsing data from Brave and Chrome to yoink it into Edge, it can track my activity and show me ads, but it can't connect to my perfectly fine and secure campus wifi?

And don't get me started on installing apps. 'Oh, so you wanna pay and install, say Minecraft? Well, you can have it, but only if you pay 2 times the market value and first install 30 different 3rd party apps and get NO warning that you're actually installing Minecraft Dungeons because we forgot to update the labels? Well, how unfortunate!'

So what should I do, like, switch to Linux or MacOS?
