I chat with Copilot every day, and this daily limit happened to me a month ago. Here is the message: "You've reached your daily chat limit. Get more chats with higher limits or check back tomorrow." and an upgrade button. When I clicked on that button, it took me to the Copilot plans with various subscription fees. So, if you want more chat time with Copilot, you just have to pay the "monthly ransom"!
why does the new copilot have a daily chat limit?
I've been using copilot for the past year and recently the copilot version changed and now i noticed a time limit for my chats which interferes with my daily and evening computer work not good as i was relying on copilot for my lab work . "You have reached your daily chat limit" *john bryla

Microsoft is currently rolling out an updated Copilot experience that includes changes to the interface, navigation, functionality and sign-in experience depending on the account and device being used.
However, I would be careful about concluding that corrupted security tokens are the confirmed cause. I have not seen Microsoft publish that as the root cause of the daily chat limit issue.
What is becoming more interesting is that several users are now reporting the same symptom: a daily chat limit appearing after only a very small number of prompts, even though they previously used Copilot without this restriction.
Since you have reproduced the behavior in multiple browsers and have already refreshed the authentication/session state without improvement, I would not spend much more time reinstalling browsers or clearing local data.
At this point, this looks more consistent with either:
• a change in how usage limits are currently being applied to the account, or
• an issue associated with the ongoing Copilot service/UI rollout.
Microsoft also documents that Copilot usage limits can vary depending on the feature, entry point and system conditions, and that these limits may change over time.
If possible, please keep an eye on whether the same account hits the same limit on the phone as well. If the phone continues working while the web version immediately reaches the limit, that difference would be particularly useful evidence that the behavior depends on the Copilot entry point rather than the Microsoft account itself.
For now, I would avoid deleting chats, projects or Library content, since there is no indication that those are causing the issue.

The “You have reached your daily chat limit” message normally indicates that you have reached a usage limit associated with your current Copilot plan or account.
Since you mentioned that your Copilot experience recently changed, I would first verify that you are signed in with the same Microsoft account and that your subscription is still correctly associated with it.
You can also try signing out of Copilot completely, closing the browser/app, and signing back in. If you use Copilot through more than one Microsoft account, make sure the correct account is selected.
If the limit continues to appear, please let us know:
• Which Copilot product you are using (Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Pro, etc.) • Whether you are using a personal, work, or school account • Where you are accessing Copilot (web, Windows app, Microsoft 365 app, etc.) • Your current Copilot subscription
Those details are important because usage limits can vary depending on the Copilot product and subscription.
Unfortunately, if this is an account-level usage limit, there isn't a local Windows or application setting that can remove it.
