    Hello,

If there is no organizer and the child is the only member in the family group, please invite the child account to the family group using your Microsoft account (adult account).

Then, accept the invitation from the child account to join your family group.

If the child is having trouble joining the family group:

    1. Open an incognito tab.
    2. Sign in with the child’s Microsoft account using the link below.

    https://account.microsoft.com/family

    • Please post a screenshot of the Family Safety screen showing only the child account in the family group. and,
    • Share the error message the child receives when trying to join the family group using the invitation link you sent.

Use Microsoft Support contact: Contact Microsoft Support.

For this scenario, the supported path is:

    1. Try to remove the child from the family group at account.microsoft.com/family using the organizer account.
    2. If the child account is a consent-managed account, remove consent first, then remove the child from the family group.
    3. If no organizer account can manage consent, only the adult who originally granted consent can manage or remove it. If that adult cannot access the account, attempt account recovery.
    4. If the account is still stuck with no organizer available, use Contact Microsoft Support and explain that the child account is stuck in a family group and the consent/family state needs to be reset.
