Samsung Galaxy S23 FE

Microsoft Edge 152.0.4191.53

Microsoft personal account

Since 29/08/2026, Copilot integrated in Edge for Android has been stuck on the message:

"Your Copilot is migrating to the new experience"

After signing out and signing back in, Copilot works temporarily. However, after closing and reopening Edge, the migration message appears again and Copilot becomes unavailable.

Troubleshooting already completed:

  • Clear cache and app data
  • Sign out and sign in again
  • Reinstall Microsoft Edge
  • Test on Wi-Fi and mobile data
  • Restart device

The standalone Copilot app works normally.

In edge://sync-internals, Transport State shows ACTIVE and no authentication errors are visible.

Microsoft support case: Moderator note: PII removed

Has anyone experienced the same issue with Copilot in Edge Android?

    Welcome Hugo Abrunhosa,

Please note that our forum is a public platform, and we will modify your question to hide your personal information in the description. Kindly ensure that you hide any personal or organizational information the next time you post an error or other details to protect personal data.

Thank you for providing the detailed troubleshooting information.

Since Copilot works temporarily after sign-in and the standalone Copilot app continues to function normally, while Edge repeatedly shows the "Copilot is migrating to a new experience" message after being reopened, this does not appear to be a typical local app corruption issue, especially as you have already tested cache clearing, reinstalling, different networks, and device restarts.

To help narrow this down further, could you please confirm:

    • When the issue returns, does Edge still show your Microsoft account as signed in under Settings > Accounts?
    • Does the behavior occur only on your Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, or have you tested the same Microsoft account in Edge on another Android device?
    • Is Sync enabled in Edge, and does it report any warnings or errors after reopening the app?

    Looking for your update.
