If the headset light is off on Surface Headphones, try these steps:
- Press and release the power button to turn the headphones off.
- Wait 10 seconds, then press the power button again to turn them back on.
- Put the headphones directly over the ears, remove any hair between the ears and headphones, and press the earcups in toward the ears.
- Keep them on for about 10 seconds, then take them off and check whether the light turns on.
If the light is still off:
- Put the headphones on a table with the earcups facing each other for 10 seconds.
- Put them back on for 10 seconds, then remove them again and check the light.
If the light still stays off:
- Press and release the power button to turn them off.
- If "Goodbye" is not heard and music keeps playing, reset the firmware.
- If "Goodbye" is heard, wait 10 seconds and turn them back on.
- If the problem continues, make sure the headphones have the latest firmware.
- If updating does not fix it, reset the headphones to factory settings.
- If the light still does not work after that, use Device Service and Repair.
