Hi,

My Outlook.com mailbox stopped sending and receiving on September 3rd. Web Outlook does not load the mailbox, and mobile also cannot send/receive emails.

For Outlook.com Error 500 with no send/receive on web and mobile, use this order:

    1. Check whether this is a service issue. If the mailbox fails in Outlook on the web and on mobile at the same time, accepted Microsoft Q&A guidance for this scenario is that there may be a mail server or Outlook.com service issue. A similar accepted answer for Outlook.com Error 500 points to Microsoft service status, and another accepted answer for the same symptom says to contact Microsoft Support.
    2. Rule out account conditions that block mail flow.
      • Check whether Microsoft cloud storage is full. If storage is full, Outlook.com cannot send or receive email, and messages sent during that time are bounced back and are unrecoverable.
      • If the password was changed recently, update it.
      • If the account was temporarily blocked because of unusual sign-in activity, unblock the Outlook.com account.
      • If sign-in is failing, use the Microsoft account sign-in helper.
    3. If Outlook.com opens intermittently, check common send/receive blockers.
      • Sending: attachments larger than 25 MB cannot be sent.
      • If a non-delivery receipt is returned, review the reason in the message.
      • Remove the email signature and try again.
      • For receiving, check the Other tab, Junk Email settings and folder, Filter > Sort > Date, forwarding, and mail rules.
    4. If the problem is mainly on a mobile device after web access is restored, reset the mobile sync partnership. In Outlook.com:
      • Go to Settings > General > Mobile devices.
      • Select the device and delete the device partnership.
      • Select Save.
      • Power off the mobile device completely.
      • Restart it after a few seconds and sync the mailbox again.
    5. If Outlook.com pages do not load correctly in the browser, disable ad blockers for Outlook.com or try another browser such as Microsoft Edge. Known issues documentation lists AdBlock and uBlock as possible causes of Outlook.com pages timing out or loading slowly.
    6. If the mailbox still shows Error 500 and fails across devices, contact Microsoft Support from the support contact flow. A similar accepted Microsoft Q&A answer for Outlook.com Error 500 directs users to Microsoft Support for further assistance.

    Hello Stoycho Dukov,

Since Outlook.com fails on both the web and mobile, this may not be a normal browser or app issue.

Could you share the complete diagnostic text shown with the Server Error 500, especially the BootResult, err, esrc, and emsg fields? Please remove your email address, Client ID, Session ID, and any other personal information before posting it.

Also, check whether your Microsoft cloud storage is full, as Outlook.com cannot send or receive email when the storage limit is reached.

If storage is available and the same error continues across multiple devices and networks, Microsoft Support may need to investigate the mailbox because Microsoft Q&A cannot access or repair individual accounts.
