- Use Home > Paste > Paste Special > Paste Formatting.
- Or use Home > Format Painter.
- Another option is to right-click-drag the selected cells to a new range and choose Copy Here as Formats Only.
- Delete information that is not needed
- If the unwanted content is in a table and both the data and formatting should be removed, select all cells in the table, click Clear, and choose Clear All.

- If dates or values are not formatting correctly
- Select the affected column.
- Go to Data > Text to Columns.
- In the wizard, keep Delimited selected, click Next, then Next again.
- On the last screen, choose the correct data type such as Date and select the correct order, then click Finish.
- If only manually entered data should be cleared but formulas kept
- Select the range.
- Press F5 > Select Special.
- Choose Constants.
- Select the data types to remove, click OK, then press Delete.
For cleaner worksheets, use column labels in the first row, use borders instead of blank rows, and avoid leading or trailing spaces.
